Film Clip on Gov't Boarding Schools
This clip is part of an episode of the PBS series on the history of U.S. relations with Native American tribes, We Shall Remain. This episode is specifically about the 1973 stand-off at the sight of the Wounded Knee Massacre. Discussion of government run boarding schools and assimilation of Native American youth is about 35 minutes into this episode, but I would encourage you to watch the whole thing.
